LOOK UP : The Office Waste Bin

LOOK up is a waste bin inspired by telescope's conical shapes to raise awareness on space junks ! 🛰🔭

There are over 20k known and tracked pieces of space debris orbiting Earth. Big objects such as pieces of rockets or dead satellites that stays in the space after their missions. 🛰🚀

The idea for this reflection was to design a waste bin that bring awareness to that situation. As a result, the shape takes inspiration from the conical aspect of a telescope pointing the sky. A juvenile way to push people to LOOK UP and see what is going on in the thermosphere. 🔭🌌

The waste bin is made from made from reutilized materials. 3/4 plywood and linoleum (flooring) both sourced from wood shop wastes. A simple way to scavenge, and reuse ♻️.
