RPT-013: THE MOUNTAIN KITE

Make a wall a door, transform an obstacle to an opportunity, shift to progress. ℝℙ𝕋-𝟘𝟙𝟛: The Mountain Kite.

This reflection began the past year while being stuck at home. The sensation of not moving made me feel like a mountain. A sedentary mass blocked in the slow routine of a world at a standstill.

The idea for this one was to bring a positive aspect to that situation in a juvenile way; insert some freedom in the constraint by reconnecting with outdoors. So I landed on this: A kite (symbol of freedom) that take inspiration from the triangular profil of a mountain. The object becomes the allegory of a state of mind. A prismatic extrusion that challenge gravity to express his fiery.

What makes montains fly is a bit of hope, a small desire of movement. And if you feel block somewhere, look at the sky, let your soul fly like a kite that the wind makes glide.

Material: Yellow Nylon Ripstop, Plastic handle + 300 ft string, 15 Dowel Goujons, PLA prismatic joints
