The big idea behind this reflection is to step away from the industrial looking of traditional fruit peelers. I wanted to create something more natural and zen looking. EURÊKA: A fruit peeler that gives the surreal feel of peeling a fruit with another fruit. A trompe l'œil ! . I landed on a mango as muse. A fruit that I literally eat every day.
To staying true to the lexical field of "peel", the main material used here is leather. A textured skin that performs perfectly the visual trick.
Materials: Full grain cowhide outer, Stainless Steel blade and hardware, PLA inner core, branded waterproof sticker.
