RPT-027: RTU LAMP

Newborn of the [𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬 --> 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡}* series, this furniture piece reimagines the typology of HVAC systems by using them as muse to create functional home goods.

The lamp's form is inspired by the air hoods of Rooftop Units (RTUs). These hoods allow air to enter and exit buildings while preventing debris, rain, snow, or small animals from entering the HVAC duct system. Here, we've sampled the triangular shape of the hood and mirrored it to create the profile of the lamp.

It features a textured PE sheeting as a diffuser at the front, and rotative flaps at the back for lighting control. The "Ruptur Vision" logo is branded as a caution sign.

Materials: 16-gauge carbon steel, 22-gauge aluminum mesh, rivets, screws + bolts, double bulb socket, E26 light bulb, toggle switch, PE sheeting. Powder-coated yellow.
