RPT-024: RTU Stool
This idea came to me a year ago while looking up to the ceiling one day. Why do we hide the ductwork and vents units? Why don't we celebrate them as furniture to live with?
The big reflection is to rethink the typology of chairs. The form comes from the Air Hood of Rooftop Units (RTU). These hoods allow air to enter and exit buildings while preventing the ingress of debris, rain, snow, or small animals into the HVAC ducting system
The furniture compiles 3 functions in 1: Stool (photo 2), Side Table (photo 1) and Storage (photo 3). Features a ''Ruptur Vision'' logo branded as caution sign. A piece to place in the living room next to a couch, or next to a bed as a nightstand.
Material: 16 Gauge Carbon steel, 22 Gauge aluminum mesh, rivets, screw + bolts. Powder Coated Yellow. (Custom colorway available by inquiry 🎨)
